Dissertation Consultation
Services
The dissertation and thesis research project
can be the bane of the graduate student’s
existence. Probably nothing else in your graduate
school experience is approached with as much
reluctance as this project. Too often it can
hang like an albatross around your neck. Having
a consultant is one way to get you going, overcome
roadblocks, acquire technical assistance and/or
get help with writing and editing.
Consider hiring a consultant
if you are:
• having
trouble getting started or feeling stuck
• unsure of how to organize and manage your project
• in need of assistance with research design, methodology
and statistics
• wanting to write more clearly and effectively
• seeking help in working with your committee and
preparing for orals
• feeling your topic is out of focus
Dr. Hajje, Ph.D.
Dr. Hajje, Ph.D. has worked with numerous students
for over 10 years on dissertations and other
projects. He has assisted at every phase of these
projects. He has helped students clarify their
ideas, develop their proposals, and generate
hypotheses. He has edited written work at various
stages, assisted with statistical analyses, prepared
students for orals and everything in between.
He offers individual assistance and tailors his
help to the particular needs and interests of
the student.
Some
students might need highly focused, brief assistance
while others might find it advantageous
to have a more general consultant. Dr. Hajje
wants to help you successfully complete your
project and learn skills consistent with the
degree you are obtaining. Dr. Hajje does not
write dissertations for students, a “service” you
might encounter elsewhere. He serves as a consultant
in order to help you improve your work and replace
the ABD (all-but-dissertation) with Ph.D. Dr.
Hajje considers your privacy to be of great importance.
